The Weepies and Mumford and Sons really do have great albums out right now. Devendra Banhart, Bon Iver, Portugal the Man (older album, whatever that is) and Yeasayer!!! and Kaiser Cartel! I think there is a chance you'd like all of those.

For one you probably won't like, Sleigh Bells, "Broken Bell"

annnd. . . .if you want something foreign. Joao Gilberto "Eu Quero Un Samba" is a good Brazilian dude (because all Brazilian dudes will swoon you)

and have you listened to Russian Red? You'd just like her because she's one hell of a gal. They call her the "Spanish Feist". I heard her in a Spanish film at Sundance last year and fell in love.

Agreed. Although, I have to say that unless this facial was intended to extract all of my impurities, it may not have been the most gentle thing I've done to my skin. I still enjoyed the experience, and I am a firm believer that product knowledge is essential. Thank you, Shawna! And Erin!

at least it isn't humid. any time i run at home in MD in august it feels as if I am being smothered by a damp blanket and I sweat into my eyes within about 2 minutes.

I really think Arizona should rethink its license policies. My great grandparents on my dad's side lived in Scottsdale for a long time and I was scared for my life when my great grandma drove me the last time I saw her. She was past 65 at the time (I think she was about 88), but still, they must not have taken her out for a spin before they renewed her license!!! She almost crashed and drove on the wrong side of the road. I had to scream "watch out!" and "stop!" and I wasn't even old enough to drive myself.
Okay, I'm done. But it really scarred me for life.

I know. My mom and I have been furniture scouting to get an idea of what I need to look for when I'm on my own in Phoenix, and I always try to scare her by going to the ugliest and/or gaudiest thing in the store/section. Yesterday it was an orange leather couch and bright yellow kitchen chairs at Ikea. Mother Justice was not amused by the grape purple chaise today.
